As part of our services, we may register domain name(s) for you. Before registering a domain name, we will make you aware of the processes and charges associated with registrations and renewals. We will also advise you of any changes in those charges in advance of renewals.
You have to provide good quality registrant information to us, and also keep us informed of any changes in that information. We will act quickly to update that information upon receipt of it. We will register all domains in your name.
.uk Domains
You should note that registering a .uk domain name involves making a contract with Nominet who may need to rely on this contract later - for example if they cancel a domain name for non-payment of renewal fees. We are required to make registrants aware of the current version of Nominet's Terms and Conditions of Domain Name Registration before a domain is registered and at renewal time.
If you request that you no longer wish to have your domain name renewed by us, it will be left to expire and all services provide by us regarding that domain name will be suspended. Your domain name will then go into a 30 day protected period, after 30 days your domain will be suspended by Nominet and it will go into a 60 day grace period. If you change your mind and still wanted to retain your domain name, you still can and at the original renewal price. This must be requested by email before the 80th day after your domain has expired, after 90 days your domain will be cancelled and deleted from the register and made available for resale through a third party registrar by Nominet. Zander will not guarantee the renewal of a domain name after this happens.
Ownership and Transfers
The transfer service offered by Zander is supplied on the basis that you will be responsible for changing the tag of the domain to ZANDER and to ensure that the transfer completes to your specifications. If you cancel a transfer, you will be responsible for contacting Zander to arrange a refund for the incomplete transfer, if applicable.
On transfer, you can select to register the transferred domain for a minimum term of one year up to a maximum term of ten years, on certain domains. You acknowledge that the maximum terms for a particular domain may vary and are available on an "as is" basis as advised by Zander. Clients acknowledge that one year may be added and charged to some domain extensions when transferred.
Zander will only allow a domain name owned or managed by you to be attached to the IPS tag of ZANDER or any of its associated companies if you have an active hosting account with Zander or one of its associated companies or you are holding the domain name within a Zander holding account.
Zander shall determine the legal owners of a domain to be those listed on the WHOIS results, whether this may be an individual or business entity.
In the event that ownership is disputed you acknowledge and agree to resolve all disputes prior to contacting Zander to organise a transfer.
If you wish to transfer ownership of a requested or registered domain then you must do the following:
Ensure that all necessary consents and permissions to that transfer have been obtained.
Deliver to Zander, on demand, documentary evidence of all such relevant consents and permissions.
You agree that on to transferring ownership of a registered domain to another person or registering a domain on behalf of another person (the "Transferee") you will confirm and prove that the Transferee agrees in writing to be bound by the terms of the agreement at Zander's request.
Zander will not transfer ownership of a requested domain until all fees attributable to the services associated with the account, which are due have been paid by you to Zander.
Zander will not charge you for transferring a domain(s) away to another registrar.
If you no longer wish to carry on with your contract with Zander, please email us no less than 30 days before your services are due to be renewed.
The customer acknowledges that termination of the agreement for any reason will result in Zander ceasing to provide the applicable services, with the consequences that flow from such cessation, including (but not limited to) deletion of data such as hosting account(s) and mail boxes.
